The Bar and Club scene in Pattaya is encompasses a large part of Pattaya. These are places visited not only by foreigners but many local Thais who love to go drinking and clubbing. Many bars and clubs border on go go atmosphere but there's no bar fines. Mainly because most of the girls working there are freelancers either looking for customers or just a good time with friends.

Pattaya Beer Bars
Pattaya's Beer Bars outnumber any other type of adult entertainment establishments. Everywhere you turn you'll see one. Some are right on the beach and many others are concentrated in open air complexes with hundreds of ladies wolf calling for your attention. There are perhaps thousands of vary sizes and clusters and each and every one are stocked with ladies to keep you company. Beer bars are just like go go bars because you can bar fine a lady here for short or long time. Only difference is the ladies working at beer bars are not half naked and the drinks and bar fine are cheaper.
Where to Find Beer Bars in Pattaya:
The most beer bars are found all along Walking Street and surrounding areas specifically Soi 7 and Soi 8. Second Road, Soi Diana, Beach Road and Soi Buakhao have beer bars worth checking out as well.
Contrary to the name, Beer Bars not only sell beer but hard liquor as well. And as I mentioned they charge lower bar fines, about B200 - B300. Beer here cost from B80 to B110. Then there are lady drinks that cost about B100 which a bar girl earns a percentage of. Traditionally if you want to sit and think over whether or not you want to bar fine her you buy her a lady drink just for taking up her time.
If you like a laid back scene where you can just enjoy lady watching without the pressure of bar fining a lady or buying lady drinks and cheaper rates all around you will certainly enjoy a Beer Bar. Many of the ladies enjoy chatting and playing drinking games with customers. But of course they'll like you more when buy more drinks from their bar and bar fining them.
If you bar fined a beer bar girl for short time you have the choice of doing the deed in a short time hotel with a room for rent. These rooms are near the beer bars and a room for rent cost B200 - B300. However it's best to stay at a guest friendly hotel in Pattaya. These hotels allow you to bring a bar girl, freelancer, gay or whatever you like back to your room for free. Though they only allow you to bring only one guest so don't get too ambitious. Remember though not all hotels in Pattaya are guest friendly and require a B1000 joiner fee, which is not much better than staying in a short time hotel. What's a coyote club? Well it's definitely not a bar with a bunch of dancing dogs. No, my friend, Coyote Clubs employ some of the best looking young slender and in shape women. Some are purely dancers who put on a great show and some double as girls you can bar fine. But of course the more beautiful and popular a girl is the more they'll charge. From my experience most Coyote girls usually get swooped by a foreigner quickly as a mistress, girl friend, minor wife or whatever you want to call it. Either ways they get supported by their man with money and some even a condo if not an apartment to live in rent free.

Pattaya Disco Clubs
There's definitely no shortage of places to have a great time in Pattaya. There's also no definite shortage of places to meet Thai freelancers. Especially since Thais love to party and go clubbing. Below are a list of places to meet them and just plainly get drunk. The benefits of course when you meet a freelancer in any of these disco clubs is that you don't have to pay a bar fine. Most importantly you're not under an pressure from anyone to buy lady drinks. So you're free to sit and check out the ladies and hear some great music from live bands.

2. Club Insomnia (www.clubinsomniapattaya.com) - A popular nightclub with coyote dancers (my favorite dancers).
3. Candy Shop - Right on Walking Street.
4. 66 Discoteque - Located on Walking Street.
5. Gulliver's Walking Street (www.gulliverbangkok.com)
6. Hollywood Pattaya - Located further up from Walking Street is where you'll find
Hollywood on Soi Phettrakun. Worth a visit.
7. Hospital Club - Located on Walking Street. You'll find a mix of Thai and Russian freelancers here.
8. Lucifer Disko - Right on Walking Street. A nice modern club with funky decor. Though rather pricey.
9. Marine Disco - A large club with most of the action happening on the second floor.
10. MIXX Nightlife Disco (www.mixx-nightlife.com)- Found on the southern end of Walking Street on the 3ed floor of Bali Hai Plaza. MIXX is has two discos, each playing it's own particular styles of music.
11. Tony's Disco & Entertainment Complex (www.tonydisco.com) - One of the most expensive super clubs in Pattaya. Still definitely worth a visit because many girls obviously follow where ever the money is. You can find Tony's on the southern tip of Walking Street.

13. Xyte - Here's another large club complex with live music. Keep in mind this is a Thai style club which means the music is mostly Thai based. There is an entry fee of B200 which includes a drink.
